Recently, the finals of the 2021 Happy Jiangsu Foreigners' Chinese Speech Contest came to an end. International students from our college performed well in the finals. Lu Si, a Comorian student, won the first prize and Aladu, a Togolese student, won the second prize, which is a breakthrough achieved in this competition.
Teachers and students from our college have actively prepared for the competition by carefully selecting themes and arranging contents of their speeches, as well as meticulously polishing their videos of the competition. Lu Si, a contestant, told his story about Chinese calligraphy with accurate pronunciation, concise language, fluent expression and sincere emotion, and it was unanimously recognized by all refrees. Under the title Food is the First Necessity of the People, Aladu started with Chinese food culture. With a cross talk he demonstrated his solid Chinese skills as well as his affectionate toward Chinese cuisine as a friend from abroad, and he won the second prize.
The 2021 Tongle Jiangsu Foreigners' Chinese Speech Contest is jointly sponsored by the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the Jiangsu Radio and Television General Station. Since the launch of the Tongle Jiangsu series of competitions, international students from our college have been shortlisted for many times and achieved excellent results. Other works sent by our college in this competition have also achieved good results in the promotion competition in Northern Jiangsu Division, with three second prizes and two third prizes awarded, which reflects the solidity and excellence of Chinese skills commanded by international students from our college.
